A True Indian

I like to watch and read celebrity interviews. Most of the interviews have one question “Which is your dream holiday destination?” and answers includes Switzerland, Egypt, Italy, Paris, Mauritius and numerous other destinations.

Other day while driving to attend my dance class, please note “dance”, I was tuned into one of the FM radio station and was listening to ‘BBC – Ek Mulaaqat ‘ a chat show. This time the guest was Rajeev Khandelwal, main character of movie ‘Aamir’. The same question was asked to this guy and very politely he replied ‘Kashmir’.

I was quite impressed with the way Rajeev justified his answer and there was one more instant addition into the fan list of this down to earth person.

People never have been to beautiful places in India like Kashmir, extreme deserts of Rajasthan, Wildlife of Sunderbans, Nilgiris mountains in down south, Andamans, etc. but they still prefer to visit places in other countries.

Q. Why don’t they ever want to visit such amazingly beautiful places in India? Are they unaware of such places in India?

A. Probably, the popular Hindi adage goes: ghar ki murgi dal barabar, meaning that the things at home are rarely appreciated!

The Horrible Passion

People sometimes ask me, what kind of movies do you like? When I reply I like horror movies, they find this answer quite absurd.
I like horror movies as there is always some excitement in every scene. You don't need gallons of blood and body parts flying around to make a movie that will scare the living hell out of you! For me the sign of a great horror film is one that, immediately after you're done watching it, you're scared to open that door, you're scared to go back into the water, and, best of all, you're scared to cut off the lights. Here is one lil confession – sometimes even I get scared and get goose bumps while watching these creepy flicks.

I have seen lots of horror movies but I found few of them as totally amusing (Evil Dead sequels) and non-sense. Here is the list of my favourite horror movies which will definitely make your heart beat faster:

The Exorcist
Psycho
House on the Haunted Hill
Evil Dead
1408
Veerana
Raat
Junoon

My only words of advice will be watch horror movies alone in the night with all the lights off :)

My Blogging Experience

Earlier people use to write their experiences in their personal diaries and all this info was very personal and not meant to be shared with others. As change is so constant, the concept of diary also got evolved as blog. Blog, in contrast, is not meant to keep things or experiences as private.
People use to blog to share their experiences with other readers, some use it as a hobby, some use it to earn some money, while some use it to express a writer in them.

Even I tried my hand at blogging, but didn’t find it interesting at first glance. Well you all may be amazed, this is my third attempt to create a blog :)
Lets hope, this blog keeps getting updated with my regular posts.

Wait and watch out for my next post!!!
